Jesus Power Assembly of God was founded in 2005 through a clear divine calling, rooted in the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:18: “...on this rock I will build my church.” While serving under Apostle Bismark Akomeah, founder of Jesus Power AG in Columbus, Ohio, Pastor Yaw O. Asamoah was called to establish a church in Atlanta Georgia.

 

After a meeting in Norcross, Georgia at the home of one of our members Mr. Agyeman, the first church service was held at the Wingate Hotel, marking the beginning of what would become Jesus Power Assembly of God. Early members included our Deaconess Margaret Agyeiwaa and others. The church grew steadily, moving through several locations over the years as its membership and ministry expanded. With strong support from the parent church in Ohio and the Georgia District of the Assemblies of God, the church was firmly planted and continues to thrive today. Much like the “Macedonian call” in Acts, the founding of Jesus Power AG was a God-ordained mission—an act of faith and obedience that gave birth to a thriving church committed to God’s vision of salvation, service, and growth.
